Zaprite has announced an integration with BTCPay Server, enabling users to receive Bitcoin payments directly into their BTCPay wallets and nodes. This feature enhances the flexibility of Zaprite's commerce tools, allowing merchants to accept both on-chain Bitcoin payments and Lightning transactions alongside traditional fiat options. Here's a quick summary of the steps to connect and enable BTCPay on Zaprite.
1. Activate BTCPay Payments
Navigate to the Connections tab in your Zaprite account and click "Connect" under the BTCPay card.
This will take you to the configuration screen where you can set up your connection.
2. Configure Your Connection
Enter your BTCPay Store URL, which can be copied from your BTCPay Store dashboard.
The URL is truncated to display only the top-level domain for clarity.
Zaprite creates requests with read-only permissions and can only generate receive invoices and addresses. It can never access your funds or spend from your wallet or node.
3. Generate an API Key
Zaprite directs you to your BTCPay Settings page to authorize the app and generate an API Key.
Follow the prompts to add a label, authorize Zaprite, and generate the key.
Paste the API Key into Zaprite to finalize the connection.
4. Enable BTCPay on Checkouts
Toggle the BTCPay payment method in your Zaprite Checkout settings to enable Bitcoin and Lightning payments.
Customers will see Bitcoin and Lightning options with QR codes auto-generated by your BTCPay wallet or node.
5. Benefits of Integration
Accept Bitcoin payments directly into BTCPay-enabled wallets alongside fiat options like credit cards and CashApp Pay.
Automated email notifications for payments and a downloadable PDF receipt for payers.
Transactions are recorded in both Zaprite’s transaction history and your BTCPay dashboard.
You can now use your BTCPay Server with Zaprite’s commerce tools and accept Bitcoin payments seamlessly.
