BitBox 03.2025 Arni Update
The latest BitBox 03.2025 Arni update brings significant improvements to the BitBoxApp, including expanded Bitcoin purchasing options, a more accessible Testnet mode, and enhanced privacy features.
Key Updates in BitBox 03.2025 Arni Release
1. Buy Bitcoin with BTC Direct
BTC Direct is now integrated into the BitBoxApp, alongside Pocket Bitcoin and Moonpay, providing users with more options to buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Supports multiple local payment methods across Europe, including iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort, and Cartes Bancaires, in addition to traditional bank transfers and credit/debit cards.
Users can set up recurring purchases for automated Bitcoin accumulation.
KYC self-verification is required to use BTC Direct services.
2. Restart in Testnet Mode
Testnet mode is now more accessible via advanced settings, making it easier for users to test transactions without using real Bitcoin.
Available across platforms, including Android, allowing users to experiment safely.
The app clearly distinguishes Testnet mode with TBTC or tsats denominations and a persistent warning on the account overview.
3. Simple xPub Sharing with Exchanges
The AOP protocol enables seamless address signing and sharing with brokers and exchanges.
Users can now share extended public keys (xPub), allowing exchanges to automatically generate new withdrawal addresses without requiring user verification for each transaction.
Privacy protection: xPubs are only shared after user confirmation, and it is recommended to use dedicated accounts for added security.
Additional Improvements & Bug Fixes
The "hide amounts" button is now always visible for easier privacy management.
Long transaction notes now display across multiple lines for better readability.
Native scroll bars are now implemented on Android and macOS for a more uniform experience.
File selection for importing transaction notes is now limited to text files only to prevent errors.
Windows installation now automatically creates a desktop shortcut for convenience.

Fix for BitBox disconnection issues on Android.
Corrections for ERC-20 token unit errors in CSV exports.
Resolved Moonpay sign-in issues within the app.
