Inspiring Bitcoin Education With AmityAge
Bitcoin broke the $100,000 milestone, underscoring the need for strong education to explore its evolving ecosystem. The Bitcoin Educators Academy (BEA), by AmityAge, is teaching people how to educate others on Bitcoin. Rather than traditional lessons, BEA refines public speaking, simplifies complex ideas, and tackles common myths. We spoke with Marek, a BEA facilitator, to learn the details of the academy.
We interviewed Marek (bottom row, 2nd from right) to find out more about Bitcoin Educators Academy.
Marek’s journey into financial education began with a goal to improve financial literacy in Slovakia and other countries. Joining the AmityAge team was a natural next step for him. “AmityAge has such an inspiring mission to onboard people into Bitcoin that it was a no-brainer to join their team,” Marek shared. “Bitcoin education is critical for scam prevention, proper onboarding, and real-life usage as adoption grows.” He highlighted how the current bull run brings new challenges, with newcomers driven by greed or fear, making them vulnerable to mistakes and misinformation.
A Unique Approach to Bitcoin Education
Contrary to the name, BEA doesn't introduce Bitcoin but provides educators with tools to explain its ideas. The academy’s approach balances theory and practice. Here’s what you can expect:
Day 1: Brings a focus on soft skills like public speaking, overcoming stage fright, and presenting with confidence.
Day 2: Takes a dive into Bitcoin-specific topics—crafting analogies, simplifying complex ideas, and debunking myths.
Day 3: Brings it all together with presentations and real-world application of the skills learnt.
“Practice is key,” Marek emphasized. “We see participants improve from their first to their final presentation. It’s inspiring to witness their growth.”
The Power of Analogies
One of the most valuable tools BEA teaches is using analogies. “Analogies simplify difficult concepts, making them accessible to newcomers,” Marek explained. However, he cautioned that analogies have limits. “Educators need to know when an analogy breaks down and be prepared to clarify further.”
The feedback Marek and his team receive from attendees includes phrases like “life-changing,” reflecting the knowledge, skills, growth, and connections participants gain during the academy. BEA also keeps in touch with alumni, offering support to help educators make a lasting impact in their communities, reflecting its commitment to spreading Bitcoin adoption globally.

Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking
Public speaking is daunting for many, but BEA tackles this head-on with a simple but powerful strategy. “Presenting is the best tool to overcome the fear,” Marek said. “We’ve seen participants make remarkable improvements through repeated practice and constructive feedback.”
Marek has one piece of advice: start today.
“You’ll never feel ready or confident enough because Bitcoin is evolving fast. The best learning happens when you’re asked questions you don’t know the answers to. That’s when you truly go down the rabbit hole.”
With Bitcoin hitting huge milestones and new people entering the space, Marek sees the role of educators becoming vital. “We’ll need educators who understand Bitcoin to guide new entrants,” he said.
The insights Marek has shared show us the essential role Bitcoin Educators Academy plays in equipping individuals to educate others. As the Bitcoin ecosystem grows, initiatives like BEA ensure that accurate knowledge and thoughtful guidance remain at the forefront of adoption.
